Happy Bunny

Seeing as I now have at last found a job with a decent wage and good prospects, I have decided to run through just what it means I am going to be able to do in the next few coming months. This is for two reasons, The first being that with my computer the way it is, it's probably safer to keep a record online of my aspirations with less chance of losing them than in a word document which I will probably forget about and delete one day without thinking.
And the second is so that I can plan out what I really want to do with all the money I've been working so hard to earn over Christmas. The plus side of this is that I can keep an eye on things and see if I have been doing everything I said I would, instead of blowing £80.00 on those really nice Logitech speakers I keep seeing at Work, or that sexy Acer laptop with 6 friggin GB of RAM and a 750 GB HDD!!!

So in a Nutshell, here are my plans for the next few months

End of January: I am finally going to go online and buy my Acer Iconia in 32GB Spec. I know that It's technically Inferior to some of its bigger rivals, like the Asus eepad Transformer or iPad 2 but I just don't care. Plus it has a real USB on the side and a mini HDMI output which suits me fine.

Febuary: Not much unless I manage to save more than I thought I had in January, so really more of a Month big on saving for what I'm planning toward the end of March.

March: This is the big one. Some readers may be are of the huuuuge dent in the side of my car which is the result of trying to turn in a very tight space and coming to blows with a low wall. and the massive scratches all along the side of the same corner wich is also the result of turning too tight and scraping the car along a poorly placed house. Anyway, the plan is to use money saved from christmas and before, (I have so far a sum total of £355) combined with wages saved from Febuary and March, (and possibly birthday money depending on whether or not I ask for a trench coat and a new double bed), to make about £1000 worth of repairs to my car. the reason for the price is that I will be having the repairs carried out by peugeot who did a really superb job on the offside wing and door after that silly cow reversed into me. Now, if this comes in at around a grand or under or even over by a couple of hundred £, then I will be a happy bunny. But what I really want is a full Respray. I don't expect this to come cheap. in reality a respray will probably cost around £2000 alone. in addition to the price of a repair I fully expect the cost to respray the entire car in matte black paint to come in at around the £4-4,500 mark, so may not be an option. However that doesnt mean that I can't change the colour of my car. I could have the car vinyl wrapped. This means that basically a massive sticker would be put onto the car and cut and trimmed to look like a real paint job. The upsides are that you would never be able to tell the difference and the original paint is still there, protected. The vinyl lasts about 5-6 years and is usually about half of the price of a paint job. I had a quote once to vinyl wrap my car in matte black for just £900. You can see why it is an option!!

Rest of the Year: I really don't know what I am going to spend my money on after march but I plan to make it my new year's resolution to finally bring my Peugeot 406 back to the road where she belongs. if only for a weeks worth of driving doing this make sure that it isn't neglected and left to rot into the field. So if I am to do this I will need to save for tax, MOT, Labour and Parts. (The exhaust and engine Diagnostics spring to mind). but of one thing be sure...THE 406 WILL RETURN !!!

just a sort of idea as to what it would look like

I cant get my computer to open .exe files!

ok so the other day I had a little problem with getting my computer to open anything. It wouldn't open IE, Firefox, Disk Defrag or any program on my desktop or indeed, anywhere else I could find them on my system. the error was the usual "select a program from the list" box,

so when I attempted to open I.E i chose I.E as the default program

I got this box

to which i just click "Run" and lo behold IE opens.
What really annoys me though is the fact that when I right click and run the application as Admin then the program will open straight up and run with no issues whatsoever.

I googled the issue and used the advice found on the URL:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/unable-to-open-exe-files/039ceca1-c81f-4136-8c04-bf13c0378495

This seemed to fix it, (for about two days) but now the problem has returned with a vengence so I'm kinda stuck here.

Also,  according to Microsoft reporting about a similar problem found on XP, it could be a virus known as the W32.Sircam.Worm@mm worm virus. ? I dunno what to do with this problem but the way I'm thinking is at the moment it may just be best to  backup the PC to an external HDD, format the HDD and start again. That is, unless anyone else has any intelligent solutions? either that or upgrade to 7 home premium but I can't really see a cheap way to do this.I keep having little spaz attacks on my PC ever since about 3-4 months ago and It's driving me crazy, so Like I say, any advice or different takes on the problem would be great.

P.S. this URL will also be posted onto my FB if anyone on there can be of any help.
